Leadership is one of those big hairy, scary concepts that has inspired many theories and too many books. Support is one of those vague, fuzzy words that means different things to different people in different situations. Put them together and the potential for complete confusion is huge.

So first let’s find out if this stuff is relevant to you.

Are you a leader of, or member of, a leadership team where one or more of the following is true?

  • Not everyone trusts each other
  • There is no common sense of purpose about where you are heading
  • Challenging the status quo is not part of the job
  • You keep doing the same things and wonder why you don’t get different results
  • What is not said is more interesting than what is said
  • It feels like you are a car permanently operating in 2nd or 3rd gear
  • The leader has the feeling people say “yes” to him/her when they don’t mean it
  • Lateral thinking does not exist
  • No-one has ever used the phrase “high performing team”
  • Vision is defined as what we are doing next month
  • Vulnerability is seen as a weakness
  • Creativity is about arranging the biscuits differently

The nature of the support I offer is totally dependent on the need of the team and/or the company. I have provided some examples in the menu on the left in an effort to stimulate a thought, followed by an action (the action being to contact me!)
